UBPOD capsule hotel in Mongolia

The staff were friendly and had everything well organized. UBPOD, Mongolia's first capsule hotel, was super clean and comfortable, and I had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended ❤️

I really liked the capsule room's design. It felt safe, clean, and nice, and seeing the Mongolia culture area was so good.

The place looks nice and modern, but the service and food were terrible. There's no soundproofing, and breakfast was tiny, just half a slice of bread each morning. You can ask for a fan if the room gets too hot. The two women at reception were excellent. Another person I often saw in the lounge was annoying, repeatedly saying “Huy,huy…” because I'd forgotten to change my shoes at the locker room. Once, when I couldn't find reception, he asked what I needed. I told him I wanted to move rooms because my private double room had no aircon and I didn't feel private sharing space with the bunk bed/capsule rooms. I also contacted them to ask whether they'd found my shampoo bottle in my previous room, but never got a reply.

The place was clean throughout, and they don't allow outdoor shoes inside, providing indoor slippers instead. The shared bathroom and showers were very clean too. We first stayed in a double bed capsule, then managed to upgrade to a very comfortable private room with its own shower and toilet. We'd booked at the last minute and called to check if we could arrive at 0200 after driving back from Murun. The owner was incredibly kind and was there to check us in. We'd looked at lots of hotel reviews before deciding, and this one had by far the best. It's right next to Narantuul market, which made shopping easy. The staff were friendly, and the owner spoke good English and even prepared breakfast to go before our early airport departure.
