The location near the square and restaurants was great, and the grandmother was lovely. She made us a nice breakfast. Still, I wouldn't stay here again, even if the price hadn't been an issue. We'd paid on Expedia for two people in a twin room, but on arrival only two young boys were there and they weren't expecting us. They handed us a phone, and a woman told us to cancel the booking and pay double. An older couple then arrived, and the man, who may have been drunk, verbally abused my son and me and threatened to call the police unless we paid more. I explained that cancelling would mean losing the money already taken. It felt like a scam blaming Expedia. The room, called a VIP, was small, had no curtains despite the 4 am sunrise, and its lamp didn't work. There was one toilet near the front door for all residents. The shower room was bizarrely split for men and women by a glass door, but women had to pass through the men's showers first. The washing machine was in the women's shower area, so a man could walk through while a woman was showering. That's wrong. We had a great time in Mongolia, but this was an unfortunate end to the trip. We left and put it behind us.
