Happy made our stay especially nice, she was warm, attentive, and always willing to help. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable too. We had a wonderful time at hotel 50/100 in Murun and would happily recommend it.

The apple crepes and pumpkin soup are both worth ordering. Dining in such a lovely, remote spot was a real pleasure, and I really appreciated the kind, friendly service.

We ended up staying several nights and using the hotel as a base for day trips. It's handy for trips to Khatgal and Khuvsgul, and the Nomin supermarket and local museum are a short walk away. The third floor is modern and renovated. Breakfast is generous, with espresso available for a fee, and the busy evening restaurant has a good menu with vegetarian choices. The staff were great at helping us, including finding a room when none seemed available at first, then contacting me and holding it until I got back late that night. Most reception and restaurant staff speak Mongolian only. Special thanks to restaurant manager Bata and the waiters, who all speak fluent English. Reception staff don't speak English, but we managed with phone translators. Wi-Fi was very weak, almost nonexistent, so use your SIM. A very good hotel in Murun.
