Mountain View Guesthouse

We felt right at home in this cozy, beautiful Guest House, thanks especially to Tugsuu and her family. They run the hotel and are incredible people. They also organized a 10 days tour to the North for us, and it was AMAZING, the trip of our lifes. We felt safe and at home throughout. Don't hesitate to stay with them or have them organize your trip. Thank you!

She took my money for a tour she was meant to organize to taiga, but hadn't even booked a teepee (tent) for me to sleep in up north. I had to ask other tourists if I could stay in their tent. She didn't pack proper food or send me to the right town, Tsaaganur, either. I cut the tour short, and she didn't refund anything. Everything she says is a lie, and she wouldn't even apologize. She talks about “volunteering” for kids, but don't be fooled like I was, she takes money. Seeing other tourists describe being scammed in their reviews convinces me she won't change. I'm leaving this to warn future travellers: the woman who owns this place is a scammer.

I organized a trip for seven tourists and chose this guesthouse because the owner seemed dependable. She turned out to be the opposite, hostile toward our guide, drivers, and even the tourists, and dismissive and negligent about our basic needs. Everything she told us was a lie. She crammed all of us into one cabin, where the toilets had no power or running water. Never stay here unless vulgarity and lying don't bother you.

The whole place is really cute, and the beds are comfortable. Our host was caring and offered to help with everything. She also makes the best homemade infused tea. Breakfast was THE BEST we've had so far in Mongolia, with so many different things. We really loved our stay at Mountain View and would definitely recommend it.
