Millennium Plaza Hotel

After travelling around Khuvsgal lake and tereji area, I booked a room here. The trip had its ups and downs, but it eventually worked out satisfactorily. The room was good, with paid Univision channels and enough heat, though I probably needed to let some cold air in while sleeping. Hot water took a while, around 5-8 minutes. Receptionist Adilakh did a great job coordinating help and making my stay go smoothly. It was a unique experience for me.

The location was great, but the air conditioning kept switching off by itself and interrupting our sleep. When we raised the issue, staff weren't helpful and blamed the customer instead, even telling our tour guide to "educate your tourists." I'd suggest staying somewhere else if you want to avoid being gaslighted.

The room size was decent, but the basic hotel essentials kept failing. Across three stays, the AC was broken each time or set to shut off for hours, and the promises to repair it felt like lies. Hot water was unreliable too, and many wall sockets didn't work. Most of the staff seemed untrained and unhelpful. Receptionist Selenge was a particular low point, with a terrible attitude and an attempt to blame us for the hotel's incompetence. Climate control, hot water, and power all had problems. Avoid at all costs.

The receptionist with the earring and sassy attitude was extremely rude. After I'd paid by card, he told me to go elsewhere if I couldn't pay the deposit in cash, even though the payment was non-refundable. He said he didn't have to explain everything and wasn't selling anything.
