Altira Macau

The view and the amount of space were lovely, and the place has a character of its own. Staff were immaculate in their service, too. I can see why it made the Forbes list. For what it costs, it felt affordable, and it's the best hotel I've stayed in. I'll come back.

The meal at Aurora was a highlight, especially the rib eye and lobster bisque. The staff there were attentive, though the child crying loudly at the table beside us did take away from the fine dining feel. I was there for my birthday. Check-in went smoothly, and the room was ready for us. The front desk and concierge kindly handled my cake and a case of wine that arrived early, so the celebration was easy to manage. The service throughout the hotel was excellent. The phone operator kept addressing me by name, and everyone we met seemed sincere and warm. Altira Macau keeps up a high standard, and I'd happily return for another special occasion.

Terry deserves a huge shout-out. He gave us all the information we needed, came in an hour and a half early so checkout would go smoothly, and arranged our ride to Hong Kong. Every employee was kind and helpful, and room service was outstanding. The hotel was surprisingly inexpensive for the high-end service. I'm from San Diego California, and I can't say enough about this quiet place. The bed was so comfortable, and the night view is one I'll never forget. They were also awarded top hotel in Macau by Forbes. Our room was larger than I expected, with a double-sink bathroom and an oversized tub my wife enjoyed. There was even a TV in the mirror for her to watch while soaking. The room itself was perfect.

The views are breathtaking, and the rooms are outstanding. Best hotel stay of my life. I wish I could've stayed for more days.
