The location was decent, with lots of buses from Ponte 16 and Ruins of St Paul's within walking distance. The room itself was fairly clean and comfortable, but it wasn’t well soundproofed. I could hear people chatting outside the restaurant opposite, plus construction noise in the morning. The WiFi kept dropping out, and the slippers were so thin they felt almost like paper. Communication at reception wasn’t great. The bathroom was cramped, with barely any space, and the door opens inward. It has smart glass walls that turn opaque when the bathroom light is on. At night, if you don’t switch on the bright light, you’re sitting behind clear glass directly in front of the bed. The shower pressure was good, but toiletries were skimpy for two guests, just tiny bottles of shower gel and shampoo. They provided two small bottles of water and there was no fridge. We didn’t get housekeeping during our stay, so nothing was restocked.

Roxanne at reception was so accommodating during our stay, and she was kind to talk with, as was her manager. The hotel is near Senado Square and close to the landmarks and tourist spots around Macau. It’s underrated. Seeing how clean and beautiful it is, and the freebies at reception, made this a 10/10 stay for me.

The room was very clean, and I liked the bathroom’s unusual bathtub, which reminded me of a Japanese bathroom. Towels and toiletries were provided, and there was an informative book about Macau in the room. Check-in began at 3 pm and went quickly. The receptionist was friendly and gave me a snack as a Christmas gift. There’s a bus stop nearby, and restaurants, bakeries, and tourist spots are close too. I stayed one night and was glad I chose this place for my Macau visit.

At IFU Hotel, I liked the way they handle the complimentary items. You can choose three per person, which seems like a thoughtful way to cut down on waste, and some are marked “1 portion is 1 pc” so everyone gets a fair share. There was a nice range, including skincare and drinks. The room had two twin beds, handy charging options, and was clean and comfortable. The hotel’s modern design caught my eye as soon as I walked in. A pleasant, convenient stay.

A lovely little boutique hotel in a great part of Macau. Restaurants and convenience stores are all around, and public transport is close by. I’d definitely recommend it.
