Towns Well Hotel

The best part for me was how warmly the Filipino staff treated us. It's an older hotel, but our room was decent, and we could walk to several well-known sights from there.

We had a clean, nice room with a city view. The Filipino staff were especially friendly, and the price was affordable. The location was the big plus: Senado Square and Ruins of St Paul were only about a 2-3 minute walk away.

A good budget base in Macau if you want to wander around, see old churches and cathedrals, and try the local food. It works well for that kind of stay.

There are food sellers and a supermarket nearby, and the hotel is close to bus stops and pretty much everything else. Reception is staffed around the clock for late arrivals, and they let us leave our bags before check-in or after checkout so we could keep exploring. The staff were helpful, even though their English was limited. The receptionist could use a little more English practice, especially since the cleaning staff spoke more fluently. Our room was spacious for an old building, and the price was reasonable, but it needed a more thorough dusting. I loved the stay overall.
