It’s an easy 10-minute drive to Saint Marie or Trinite for food, beaches, and evening entertainment. The grounds are peaceful, with the sound of waves breaking on the shore 2 km down the hillside, and the place has a charming reminder-of-the-past feel. If you're North American and expect a big-chain resort like those starting with M or H, this isn't that kind of place. It feels more like an eco resort. The grounds aren't perfectly manicured and show a little age, but everything you need is there: modern AC if needed, a kitchenette fridge suitable for meals, and updated bathrooms.

A lovely spot for reading, sleeping, and sunbathing. The views, grounds, and plantation home are gorgeous. Our bungalow was fine, with a big terrace, a nice breeze, and real quiet. WiFi worked well, and hostess Joelle kindly arranged our Covid test appointment for the flight home. Pascal the waiter was very jovial, and we had two lovely restaurant meals with excellent wines.

The villas gave our group of seven plenty of room for nine days in the four-bedroom units, and the views over sugarcane fields, the ocean, and banana fields were great. The internet could reach more of the property. This is a great location on Martinique's eastern Atlantic coast, with friendly staff, clean accommodations, and historical architecture. Surf breaks are only 30 minutes away.

The views, buildings, and grounds are beautiful, but the stay felt mixed and a bit too expensive. The place seems to make too much of itself. The furniture is old, WiFi was unusable, and they expect you to take your own trash to a dumpster in the next town.

Be sure you understand the cancellation fee before booking. I made a pay-at-hotel reservation and canceled just two hours later, but they still charged me a 50% fee. My reservation was for more than a year in the future, and they wouldn't refund the charge. The customer service was horrible.
