The location on the map is off by two blocks. The hotel is east of the pin, and of the photos, only the construction shot seems to show the actual place. Is that in Mauritania? By Mauritanian standards, it’s a decent hotel. I’m not sure whether there are beds, since most rooms have thick mattresses on the floor. Lala has cooked for us several times and does a good job. I don’t think any rooms have ensuite toilets. The shared ones are basic.

The owner, Abdullah, is a wonderful, friendly person. This is one of the loveliest places in Oudane, with rooms that have air conditioning and are equipped in a traditional hut style. I recommend visiting.

The owners are lovely, and the food is very good. The rooms are clean and well looked after. You can choose a room with or without air conditioning, and with or without a private bathroom, depending on your budget. A very comfortable hostel, highly recommended!
