Nouakchott Hotel Towva

The hotel is in a very good location, and everyone was nice and professional. The rooms looked clean on the surface, but I found bedbugs and had bites all over my body, so I had to leave. That’s a serious problem the hotel needs to do something about. Be careful if you go there.

It’s acceptable compared with other hotels in nouakchot, but for the price they could improve and provide better quality.

I stayed here twice, and both visits were a big disappointment. It definitely wasn’t worth what I paid. The rooms look nice, but the showers are moldy and flood. Reception was extremely slow, and I was moved through several rooms before finding one that was okay to stay in. The others had problems like no water, no electricity, broken AC, or weren’t ready. Reception seemed to have no idea which rooms were ready to rent and just assigned any room. The included breakfast was okay, although there were lots of flies around.

The rooms are tidy and clean, the food is very good, and the staff are okay. My only complaint was the room service. Several times in the morning, they came into the room without asking permission. Update: A few years after my first review, room service is much better now.
