Green Grove Guest house

I arrived in the evening to find the bathroom light wasn’t working. When I asked at reception the next morning, the middle-aged man said there was no electrician available and it couldn’t be repaired. I asked how I was supposed to use the bathroom, and he told me to use my phone torch. He also said he didn’t know EU laws and wasn’t supposed to give me the owner’s details when I asked to speak to the owner or manager. Only after I said I’d call the police, since they would know the law, did he contact the manager. The light was fixed a few hours later. I wonder how this place got such good ratings.

After a full day of sightseeing, it was lovely to come back to such a quiet, beautiful apartment near the center. It had everything we needed and felt like home. The hosts were excellent. We’d gladly return and recommend the place. Greetings from Poland!

The room was quiet and well equipped, and we really enjoyed the breakfasts. On our last day, the staff even arranged breakfast super early because we had a morning flight. They were friendly without being pushy, and shared useful tips about the buses and places to visit. There are all kinds of buses you can catch from here. If we come back to Malta, I think we’d stay here again.

The rooms were spacious and cosy, and the hotel sits in a pleasant, secure neighborhood near the main bus lines to La Valletta, beaches, islands and the airport. It’s far enough from the noisy bars, too. Breakfast could be tailored to what we wanted, and mornings with Ms. Maria, her two sons and their adorable Pomeranian were always cheerful. The family Grima made us feel at home, maybe even better than at home. After Crete, we weren’t sure we’d find hosts this welcoming, but communication was easy and arranging everything went smoothly. They were warm, reliable and incredibly helpful, with great advice and a lovely sense of humour. A great choice for a relaxed holiday and a chance to experience Maltese life firsthand. Thanks again!
