Getting to Valletta was easy, with buses right outside that take 7-10 minutes, or a pleasant 20-minute walk. Hamrun kept us away from the tourist crowds, and the B&B was in a great spot. My room was spotless, with coffee, tea and bottled water ready for when I got back from exploring. Breakfast was lovely too, especially the homemade olive oil and fresh fruit. What made the stay special was how warmly the owner and his partner welcomed me. They gave local recommendations, chatted without rushing, and even left slippers in the room. Every time I asked for something, they looked for a way to help. I've stayed in more expensive hotels that could learn from that. If you want a warm, authentic stay in Malta, this B&B feels like home with the service of a fancy hotel.

The house was spotless, and I even noticed some beauty products at reception. The location was perfect, with a supermarket and kiosk just around the corner. The owners were so welcoming and always available for help or a chat. And breakfast came with the best hot croissants!

Our room was amazing, very clean and equipped with everything from A/C and a hairdryer to cable TV. The hosts were lovely and helpful, and breakfast was good. It’s a safe, central area with plenty around, including a shopping center with a supermarket. You can walk to Valletta or catch one of several buses from the stop across the street. Such a lovely place to stay in Malta, totally recommended!

Fauzia B&B gave my sister and me the unusual, non-touristy and safe place we wanted in our late 60s. Hamrun police station is in the nearby square, the property was easy to reach by bus from the airport, and locals knew where it was. We enjoyed the rooftop views over Hamrun, and the stay and breakfast were good value. Our hosts gave us lots of useful advice, and the local supermarket had everything we needed. We loved the atmosphere at a nearby bakery cafe, where the Maltese favourites were cheap and local older people filled the place with chatter. We spent one day soaking up Valletta, then had a fabulous boat trip to Gozo and Comino. We were also lucky to see the Hamrun Easter Holy Week processions, with locals marching and running with the statue of the Risen Christ. For coffee shops, culture, meeting locals, adventure and good value, give Fauzia B&B and Hamrun a try. You won't be disappointed!
