As a solo traveler, I had a good experience. The room was clean, and I had no contact with staff. You get a code to open all the doors, so your privacy is maintained.

I booked through Booking.com after filtering for rooms with two beds. The deluxe double listing said it had a queen bed and a sofa bed, but when we arrived there was only a queen, with no sofa at all. The room looked too small for either a sofa or a sofa bed anyway. There was no staff member to speak to in person, so I messaged management. They said this was the room I'd requested. I sent a screenshot of my reservation showing the multiple beds, since we needed two, and pointed out the listing on Booking.com also showed them. They said there were no such rooms. I asked for my money back so I could book somewhere that matched the listing, but they refused. They eventually said they'd sort it out by finding another room or separating the beds. I would've been happy with that, but later that evening they said no staff were available to handle it that night and promised to contact me the next day. They never did. Their messages said there are no sofa beds. This also isn't really a beachfront property unless you want to lie out on jagged rocks. The only employee I saw was an Indian man who handled setting up, maintaining, and clearing breakfast, then had to service all the rooms by himself. The place feels like a cash cow for management, with little care for hospitality. I can't imagine making someone stay after they want to leave because the listing didn't match what they got. They couldn't even extend checkout to noon, though housekeeping hadn't reached the room until after 1 the day before. The hotel does Malta a disservice. I've had much better stays elsewhere on the island, or this place would have left me with a terrible impression. This place is a joke. Please don't waste your money.

The location made it easy to explore, and breakfast was tasty and satisfying. My room on the fourth floor was stunning, with breathtaking sea views, and everything was spotless and well maintained. The hotel works digitally, with no physical concierge, but I had no trouble getting quick replies from the team. I arrived an hour before the official 3 PM check-in. Since my room was ready, the kind staff who were preparing breakfast and cleaning let me in. I did have trouble with the entry system, which briefly kept me from my room, but the staff fixed it within 30 minutes while I waited in the breakfast area. Sound insulation could be better. I could hear noise from the corridor and neighboring rooms. Even so, I had a fantastic stay at Eldoris Boutique Living and would gladly come back.

The fire alarm went off around 10 PM and kept blaring for 30 minutes. Guests were confused and panicking, with no explanation or help from hotel staff. Nobody came to check on people or called the fire department. I kept wondering what would happen in a real emergency. That lack of response felt irresponsible and dangerous. The bathroom was already in awful shape when we arrived. There was a large yellowish stain on the shower floor, similar dirt marks on the sink and around the shower window, rust all over the shower, and a big white, unidentifiable stain inside a drawer. An old, crusty bottle of shower gel looked like it had been sitting there for years. It seemed housekeeping hadn't cleaned properly, if at all, and hygiene clearly wasn't a priority. I reported the problems and expected an apology, a room change, or some compensation. The hotel ignored me. I also submitted a review directly to them, but they never got back to me. For a place charging more than others nearby, this level of filth and lack of concern was unacceptable. I chose it because the ratings on Booking, 8.4, and Google, 4.2, were high, and assumed the higher price meant quality, comfort, and service. Instead, the stay was a disaster from the start. The hotel presents itself as a high-quality option, but my experience was the opposite. I regret booking it, and the positive reviews seemed outdated or misleading after what we went through. It's overpriced, unhygienic, and run by staff who don't seem to care about guests. If you're considering it, look elsewhere. I hope this helps others avoid the same mistake.

We found the hotel comfortable, and the room was clean. The balcony view was amazing. Parking was difficult to find, and when we arrived for breakfast on the first morning, there was nothing left. After that, we had to get up early.
