The apartment was spacious, quiet, close to a bus stop, and well located. We were four, and although the price wasn’t high, I still felt it should have been much cheaper for the quality. That’s about where the positives end. The sofa was so uncomfortable that my boyfriend had to take the mattress off and sleep with it on the floor. The place was dirty throughout when we arrived, as if it hadn’t been cleaned, and there was disgusting fungus in the bathroom. We also found it unprepared: no sugar, salt, pepper, bin bags, or bed sheets for one couple. The listing mentioned a TV, but there was no television service. Communication with the local contact was okay, though I wouldn’t call it excellent. In my opinion, 4/10.

This really wasn't good. I’ll go into more detail another time.

The owners were very kind and helpful, and some spoke Italian and gave us tips for getting around Malta. The apartment had everything in working order and felt state of the art, with excellent value for the money. It’s about five minutes from the bus stop and three from the minimarket, and it suited our needs perfectly. Cleanliness was the one drawback. Since it’s an apartment, I brought my own sheets and tablecloths, so I was otherwise fine. If I come back to Malta, I’ll definitely consider staying here again.
