The Londoner Hotel St. Julians

There was no hot water during my stay. I also had a very uncomfortable exchange when I asked for the receptionist's name about the issue and they refused, even though the hotel had all my personal details for invoicing. I booked directly through the “Returning Londoner” promotion, which clearly said continental breakfast was included. I showed this at reception but was still charged €10 and told I'd “misread” the offer. That felt dismissive and unprofessional. It's not about the €10, it's the misleading communication, poor handling and lack of accountability. Extremely disappointing. I wouldn't return or recommend it.

The location and the staff's dedication are what earned my 5 stars. It's right in the heart of St. Julian’s, near the evening promenade, shops, restaurants and attractions like the Museum of Illusions and the Odyssey immersive experience. The staff were very friendly and dealt with a specific request quickly and professionally. Breakfast is basic and could have more variety, and some room amenities, especially bathroom accessories, could be better.

I'm so angry that the client put me in such a cheap, low class hotel. It was disgusting. The standards are high in Malta, but this particular place stinks, feels unprofessional and is truly sad. I'd seen other reviews saying some people decided not to spend the night. It smelled of rotten eggs and damp. When I complained about the smell, they punished me with the room shown in these photos. The receptionist wore dirty clothes and had such a spiteful attitude. On arrival you have to ring the hotel bell to get in. She took 10 minutes to let me in and didn't even apologize.

Our room was spacious and very clean, and the service was exceptional. We really enjoyed the outdoor pool, with its amazing view and very high quality food and drinks. Good restaurants serving different cuisines and shopping malls are close by. We highly recommend it.
