Verdi St Georges Bay Marina

We stayed Tuesday to Tuesday and got upgraded at check-in to a superior room with a nice balcony view. The hotel is tidy and clean, and the room was mostly clean too, though a few things could be better. The bed and bedding were uncomfortable, and poor soundproofing interrupted our sleep many times. Even earplugs didn’t always block the noise. The location works perfectly for an active holiday, with plenty of nice options nearby if you want to stay close. Service was excellent, even during the busy breakfast rush, and nobody had to wait. Everyone was friendly and smiling from the start. They handled my fiancée’s allergies well, with gluten-free, egg-free, and dairy-free breakfast choices. A big thank you to all the staff, especially Nalin and Mikal, who went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

The room was cleaned well every day, and staff kept us supplied with fresh bottled water. Breakfast had a huge range of fresh food, was delicious, and nothing ever seemed to run out. The breakfast team worked professionally and made mornings pleasant. At Verdi St Julian’s in Malta, we also loved the beautiful, very clean hotel and its atmosphere. The whole staff was kind, welcoming, helpful, and always smiling. Special thanks to Caya, Mikal, and the young man from Nepal on the breakfast team, I think he was originally from there. They were exceptionally friendly and made us feel cared for. We had a wonderful holiday and would gladly return. Highly recommend it.

The constant construction nearby was the main downside. Loud excavation went on for most of the day and started early in the morning. My room was made up to a high standard every day, and I had a little balcony overlooking the sea. The outdoor pools were excellent, with hardly anyone there after 6pm, and you can also get into the sea near the main pool. Breakfast had lots of choices, though I would have liked more hot vegetarian options, like veggie sausages. Staff were friendly and fun, and Marco at the front desk gave me five-star service at both check-in and check-out, going above and beyond to help.

The setting is beautiful, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. Kesar and Minou were incredibly friendly and made me feel comfortable right away. They were attentive and professional, always ready to help, and happy to chat as well. You can tell they care about guests. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant stay and great service.
