The Seafront Tower

The view is great and the hotel is in a really good location, but I was sad to see how badly this former luxury hotel is kept now. The place wasn’t very clean, and the beds were extremely uncomfortable. I’d warn people not to turn on the air conditioning because it’s dirty. Everyone at the hotel was sick. Breakfast and the pool were poor too. I really hope they invest in the property.

The only good part was the view from the room. The rooms are falling apart, and the beds felt like they could break at any moment. The alarm went off a couple of times while there was a kerosene smell. The pool wasn’t filled. Electricity and water were off for 3h, and neither the toilet nor the shower worked. Horrible! Breakfast was extremely basic, just powdered milk, ham, and cheese. They didn’t change the towels, and there was no seating on the porch. Not worth it at all.

For a very cheap rate, the hostel gives you spacious, clean rooms and a lot more than an ordinary hostel, perhaps because it used to be a hotel. The staff were polite and confident, and I had a very good experience there once. It’s by the sea, with different transport options available when needed. While visiting Malta’s historical sites, including places connected with the Biblical story of St. Paul reaching the island after a shipwreck, this is a place to meet and rest. The account is clearly written in the Bible, in Acts of the Apostles Chapter 28. I hope to visit again.

The view is amazing and the bed was comfortable. For the price, I’d recommend it, but the UK plugs were a pain, so I had to buy an adapter to charge my phone. The 8 bed room had a wardrobe but no lockers.
