The kitchen is shared, but it was always clean, with coffee and tea available. My room was clean and had its own bathroom, a desk, wardrobe, and Netflix. The host, Sheldon, was kind and helpful, and even supplied international connectors 🔌. The location inside Valetta is perfect, and the bus station is within walking distance. Uber is available too, so getting around Malta was easy. I had an amazing stay.

Sheldon, the owner or manager, was great to chat with online and usually replied within 10 minutes. I never met him in person, but I'd definitely stay here again. Chateau La Vallette was very clean and well maintained, and I loved my stay. The communal kitchen has a washer and dryer, though you need to bring your own detergent. I'd rate it 10/10 and highly recommend it.

After an unpleasant first impression at another hostel where we had to stay on our first day, Chateau de la Vallette really improved our Malta vacation. The place is cozy and super clean, right in the centre of Valletta and close to everything you need. Sheldon, the owner, was kind and helpful, including with checkout. I'd definitely stay there again if I visit Malta!

The rooms are very clean and the location is great. It's good value for money, but the long stairs make this unsuitable for people with accessibility issues.
