Mulberry Suites

The staff were excellent, warm, helpful and accommodating, with really good communication. The location was great too: within walking distance of Republic Street, the attractions, Ferries and main bus station, but quiet and away from all the buzz. Our room and bathroom were clean and spacious, with a table, chair and an open wardrobe. I loved the continental breakfast and all-day coffee machine. My only complaints are personal preferences. The bedside table is so small it barely holds anything, and we couldn’t choose the air-conditioning temperature. We like a cooler room, and 23° was too warm for us. We would also have loved a little fridge in the room.

Valletta is easy to explore from this spot, and the staff were all kind and helpful. The room itself was less comfortable: a bright safety light stayed on, and the bathroom and toilet were screened from the bed only by a partly transparent wall that stopped short of the floor.

We spent four nights here at the end of October. Our fourth-floor room was fairly quiet; we could hear the neighbors now and then, but that felt normal. The room was clean, service was good, and the staff stayed friendly and attentive. Breakfast had a decent mix of breads, cereals, croissants, cheese, meat, fruit, and vegetables. I'd recommend it.

The location made it easy to walk to all the shops, and breakfast was really good. I stayed for one night with a friend, and the staff were so nice, approachable, and helpful that the service couldn't have been better. We'll definitely come back.
