The location is handy for bus routes, restaurants, shops and markets, and the owner was responsive. Rates were reasonable. The studio sits at the back of the building and feels rustic. Inside there’s a comfortable bed, an uncomfortable couch, a table with two chairs and a very basic kitchenette. The bathroom is cramped, but the shower is excellent. Outside, a small patio looks over back yards and abandoned buildings. It’s very quiet apart from the occasional noise from downstairs. The property could use some TLC to make it more appealing.

Right in the heart of Victoria, with the bus station and restaurants very close by. I recommend it.

Good value budget accommodation, and the staff were really kind.

The owner was extremely helpful, and I’d definitely come back for a weekend. The studio apartment is in a nice building, very clean and comfortable, with warm rooms and everything you need. It has local character and a nice balcony with a view. The location couldn’t be more central.

41 steps is clean and airy, right in the small city centre and close to buses and loads of places to eat. I left this city 57 years ago and was amazed by how much it’s changed.
