The villa has loads of space, a nice pool, and an outdoor BBQ, and the beds were comfortable. The showers were good too. But it really needs a proper clean: our feet went black from the floors, and there was only a dirty mop, with no brush or dustpan. There were flies everywhere, possibly from the rubbish in the alley or the abandoned building site next door. The alley itself is pretty unpleasant, with rubbish and derelict buildings, and parking outside was hit and miss. The pillows were rock hard, and my gf got bitten by bedbugs. It could be a good villa if they cleaned it properly.

We found it handy for getting around the island, with places only 10-20 mins away in each direction. Bolt was cheap and convenient, and there are shops, a pharmacy and a bakery nearby. The villa is a lovely, spacious traditional place with good-sized rooms, wifi for the teenagers, and a roof terrace where you can see the Rotunda and catch beautiful sunrises. With temperatures at 30 degrees, we needed the air con, though it runs on a coin meter taking 1 & 2 euro coins. The company looking after the place were friendly and attentive, nothing was a problem, and we had fresh towels and bedding partway through our 10 day stay. The pool was checked twice and got sun for most of the day. There was quite a lot of building work around the villa, but it didn't spoil the holiday. We heard some noise in the last 2 days; Jet2.com had warned us and kept an eye on it. There weren't many recent reviews when we booked, so we weren't sure what to expect.

We had a nice time in the farmhouse, though it was hard to find. If you're after a quiet break, avoid feast time, the music went on late into the night, until 3.30pm.
