Canonnier Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa

We had a lovely time at Cannonier Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa, especially eating at Frangipanier. Executive Chef Ajay and his team took exceptional care of us. I have a severe tree nut allergy, and they went out of their way to keep me safe: allergens were clearly marked on menu items, and they prepared chocolate sauce and ice cream especially for me to avoid cross-contamination. Chef Ajay made us feel like royalty. The food in general was exceptional, and the dishes at the Al a Carte restaurant were delicious and beautifully presented too. The resort's care, attention to detail and professionalism made the whole experience outstanding. Highly recommend.

Being able to walk straight from our room onto the beach and then around to the pool was wonderful. We stayed at Beachcomber Cannonier for a family holiday in July 2025, and the beachside setting was glorious. One downside was sandy feet, with no foot shower we could find. There's only one pool, which some guests may want to bear in mind. The food and drinks were excellent, fresh, creative and delicious, with plenty of variety for an all-inclusive stay. The two restaurants were a nice extra for a more special meal. There was a great range of included watersports, including water-skiing and glass-bottom boat rides. The watersports team were friendly and greeted us with smiles and a sense of fun. Our room was spacious and kept clean. Evening entertainment was good too, with gentle background bands and entertainers while we had drinks or played cards. Thanks to Esha at reception, the lovely, smiley Collen, our waiter, Rama, who called himself our 'room boy', Sharron, Prithvi and the lovely Nandini, who looked after us at mealtimes. They all helped make it a fabulous holiday. Our trip was booked through Becky Miles at Travel Counsellors, who was her usual brilliant self recommending the resort and arranging everything. We left Canonnier with great memories and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a lovely feel, good facilities and a beautiful beach. Rooms were clean, comfortable and welcoming, and the food across all the restaurants was very good. The kids' club was nice, though the playroom disappointed us a bit. Whenever we went in, the staff were watching TV and didn't always come out to greet us or our child. Elsewhere in the resort, staff were generally friendly and helpful. We did wish for a bit more space and privacy at times, since there's only one main pool and it could feel close to other guests.

The rooms were impeccably clean, the facilities beautifully presented, and the whole setting comfortable and refined. Service stayed attentive, courteous and proactive from arrival to departure, even though the hotel was close to full. Our recent stay at The Cannoniers Beachcomber was exceptional, and it lives up to its reputation as a long-established landmark at magnificent Pointe aux Cannoniers in Mauritius. A special mention for the professionalism and kindness of the staff. Mr. Rama, Shifa, Prathvi, Ti Van, Benji and Ayush from the boathouse, who was raucously funny, all went well beyond standard service to make our stay smooth and enjoyable. Their warmth and commitment to guests made the visit memorable, and we sincerely appreciate it. Bravo! We give The Cannoniers Beachcomber five stars, would gladly return and recommend it.
