Villa Kreola sits peacefully in a lovely garden. Each morning we enjoyed a generous, delicious breakfast while watching the garden and listening to the colorful birds chirp. It felt magical. We spent 14 days with Claudia and Bernd and felt at home very quickly. What they offer is truly unique, and we’ll definitely return!

We discovered so much more of Mauritius than its idyllic beaches and dive sites, thanks to Claudia and Bernd. Their love for animals is remarkable, and they’re a blessing to the many stray dogs nearby, almost like a local shelter for the homeless. The house is lovingly furnished, and the garden and pool are a dream, with flowering plants arranged beautifully. The many cardinal birds are a lovely sign of that care. Their thoughtfulness starts before arrival, with clear information on entry requirements and airport pickup. Bernd helps you settle in Mauritius, shares tips for places to explore, and can help with car rental, which was significantly cheaper than in Germany. At the house, the care continues. Every morning there was breakfast with tropical fruit beautifully arranged with flowers, and often an extra treat, like a refreshing coconut drink or breadfruit dinner. Leaving home for a vacation and then suddenly feeling back at home is what a stay at Villa Kreola feels like. Claudia and Bernd are the best hosts we’ve ever had. The “repeat offender” bug has bitten us, and we’ll keep coming back. We wish them continued health and joy, so they can keep caring for many more guests with such dedication.
