Lux Le Morne

The staff made a real effort to make our stay memorable. They were friendly and attentive, and the spacious rooms were comfortable and impeccably clean, with thoughtful touches. We also enjoyed a great range of delicious food made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Lux Le Morne Hotel is beautifully designed, with an easygoing, welcoming feel. The location is stunning, right by the beach, with turquoise water and mountains all around. Whether we were at the pool, on the beach, or exploring nearby, everything felt well taken care of. A great mix of luxury and comfort for a relaxing Mauritius getaway. Highly recommended!

We spent 4 nights at the property during the Spring of 2025, as part of a 10-day stay on the island. It’s a beautiful spot near the base of Le Morne Brabant, and I’d rate our stay 4.5 stars. This place suits a peaceful, relaxing R&R vacation. We tried all the restaurants and often enjoyed both the meals and the service. The breakfast buffet had exceptional variety and food, and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The biggest plus at LUX Le Morne is the setting. The mountain views are stunning, the ocean in this area is beautiful, and the beach nearby is cleaner than other beach areas. Rooms are spacious, cozy, and well maintained. The hotel gym is well equipped for a hotel gym, and I’d recommend the SPA too. The masseuses know what they’re doing, which isn’t always the case at resort spas. Food wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t come without a package. Prices are ridiculously high, and none of the meals feel worth the cost. There are also three other restaurants that aren’t included in any package, which I don’t understand. The main issue for me was the chaotic service, even though the staff were very kind. I lost count of how many times I got coffee with the wrong milk, and sometimes waited more than 30 minutes for it. Tables in the main restaurant were often left uncleared despite there being very few people. At the beach, orders were often incomplete too. Guests need to be patient when making requests.

Those sunsets were unforgettable, with a breathtaking show of colours every evening. The scenery at LUX* Le Morne is beautiful, and the beach service made it easy to relax. Drinks, pizza, and even dim sum were brought right to our sunbed, with great attention to detail. I’d especially recommend the walk-out beach-front suites. Being able to step straight from the room onto the sand is so convenient and adds a lot of comfort. Lovely scenery, outstanding service, and some of the best sunsets you’ll see.
