Terroir des Baies Roses - Moka

I found this place a rip-off, especially given how expensive it is. It costs an extra 400 MUR to use the air conditioner, and even then it’s off from 9pm to 6am. You could rent a furnished luxury apartment for 60 USD a day or less, without bed bugs and with A/C. I was bitten, and when I showed the owner's husband, who is also an owner but tells people it’s his wife’s business, he seemed amused and said they were mosquito bites because mosquitoes fly under covers. A doctor on the island also said they were bed bugs. BED BUGS!!! The owner of this bed and breakfast has an attitude problem. Breakfast was horrid. She watched to make sure toast was cooked her way, and if you tried to cook it longer, she accused you of breaking the 20 dollar toaster and nagged until you gave in. The toast was the only food that didn’t make me feel sick. The bathrooms were disgusting, and the towels were literally crunchy and so nasty I didn’t want to shower. Her favorite line is, “If you could actually read and read the fine print,” pointing out that A/C costs extra. She doesn’t seem to understand that companies booking for business rely on the ratings, which on booking dot com are somehow over 4 stars, and pay more expecting higher quality. The quality here is VERY VERY BAD. Save yourself and DO NOT STAY HERE!!! BED BUGS!!!!!

They take their rubbish and other construction materials and dump them on a vacant lot belonging to the neighbours. It damages the environment and pollutes someone else's property. HEALTH and ENVIRONMENT authorities were there this week to assess the owner's reckless habits. Good to BOYCOTT.

You get a very pleasant view at this budget accommodation. It’s a cozy place with a small photo gallery, though a bit far from public transport.
