Holiday Inn Mauritius Mon Tresor by IHG

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I needed a pharmacy, and the shuttle driver kindly took me to one. The shuttle is also handy for the airport, which is close by. There aren’t any shops within walking distance, and the immediate area feels a bit remote. Check-in was very slow because just one person was handling arrivals. Our room was basic, which was fine for our one-day stay. The open wet-room shower sent water all over the floor, and a separate leak made the floor even wetter.

We had room 154, at the far end of the first-floor corridor, well away from the lobby. I’d consider asking for a room far from the lobby if noise from other guests worries you. The room was comfortable and well equipped, with memory foam mattresses, air conditioning, curtains, and coffee and tea. The decoration was probably its weakest point. The bathtub was enormous, seemingly made for giants over two metres tall, and could easily fit two people. It’s a very useful place to stay before an early flight, saving you a long, risky night drive and the uncertainty of arranging a taxi. The hotel is easy to reach by car, with nearby parking, an access ramp for disabled guests, and space for wheeled luggage. It’s less than a kilometer from Sir Seewosagur airport international terminal, and a convenient air-conditioned van runs a shuttle to and from the terminal. The swimming pool is very nice, clean, and large, with plenty of loungers. Staff are very helpful, though bar and restaurant orders can sometimes take a while. The menu has plenty of Maurice specialities, though we just had a regular Beef Burger and Chicken skewer. The price seems fair for such a convenient location. I’d recommend the hotel and come back, and it’ll also earn you points in the hotel group’s loyalty program.

My Mauritius holiday began at Holiday Inn Mauritius Mon Tresor by IHG, and the staff’s genuine care made me feel at home as soon as I arrived. Their compassion went beyond ordinary service and really touched me. The hotel set the tone for an unforgettable trip with its heartfelt hospitality. It feels like the start of the island’s magic, not just a place to sleep.

We arrived on an evening flight and stayed one night after reading a mix of reviews. The shuttle got us to the hotel in just a few minutes, and we used it again the next day to get back to the airport and pick up a hire car. The room was fine, nothing special, but breakfast was excellent with a wide range of choices. All the staff were pleasant. We’d stay again.
