Sunset Reef Resort & Spa

The lovely views and uncrowded setting made for a nice, affordable getaway, and the day package was good value for the price. The buffet was basic but satisfactory, though the food and drinks were presented at an average level. Drinks were described as all-inclusive in our package, but only local ones were available, which was a small disappointment. Customer service was okay. I recommend the place and would go again.

The staff did a great job throughout our stay, and I appreciated that the hotel employs people with autism and gives them a chance to build a better life. We were on half board, and the open buffet dinners had so much variety that we ate until we could barely walk 🤣. Breakfast also had lots of options, and when we asked for a few extras outside the package, they happily served them to us. We were well looked after at dinner, breakfast and lunch, with the Indian staff checking if we needed anything. I also had a deep sea massage at the spa, which was the best, and got 10% off. We bought lunch for two separately and got 10% off that as well. Renovations are still underway since the new owner has just come in, but the team is doing an amazing job. We’ll definitely be back 💕💫👏

The room let down an otherwise promising stay. The air conditioner leaked all weekend, so we had to leave towels on the floor to avoid slipping. We reported it twice, but nothing was done, and that really affected our comfort. The setting is lovely, with beautiful views and a swimming pool that was a highlight. Restaurant service was very good, especially from the manager, Anwar, who was professional, attentive and clearly made an effort to look after guests. Some staff at reception and around the resort were friendly and helpful too. The resort has real potential, but room maintenance and responding to problems need serious improvement.

We were on a day package, so I can’t comment on the rooms. The staff were really cooperative, and the Hotel Manager was humble and made sure our day went smoothly. Their service was so heartwarming, and people were compassionate towards my special needs and physically ill child. I’m vegetarian, and the lunch was beyond what I expected, really delicious!
