The parking can be tricky when it’s busy, so I’d get there early. I ordered the “ Plateau Pecheur ” and it was the best seafood I’ve ever had, worth every cent. Service was excellent too. Good food takes a while, but it’s well worth waiting for.

The drinks were amazing and the service was good, but the food was appalling. My fried rice was sticky, and when I asked about it they blamed the egg. Come on, we’re Mauritian and eat fried rice all the time. I sent it back and didn’t order anything else because I didn’t want to risk it. When I visited in 2022, both the food and service were amazing, so maybe the chef has changed. I know I won’t be returning now.

The calm, quiet atmosphere made Chez Tino Restaurant a good fit for a business meeting or a peaceful meal. It feels professional but still relaxed. Our food was tasty, fresh, nicely presented, and served in good portions. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and service ran smoothly. I left satisfied and would come back, whether for work or another meal.

There were flying cockroaches everywhere, and the meal was mostly bland and tasteless. The starter salad was the exception. The vegetables were overcooked, the rice had no seasoning, and the grilled fish seemed fried instead, and far from fresh. We had a really bad experience at Chez Tino. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We only stopped by for a sundowner. The small balcony was breezy and had sea views, and the drinks and service were pleasant and friendly.
