Baa Sand Maldives

If paradise exists, it’s here. Everything was spotless and new, from the hotel to the top-shelf beds and mattresses. The diving masks still had their protective film on. The staff were friendly, smiling, and helpful, and there’s a private beach and a swimming pool. Couldn’t ask for better. I recommend it!

The island itself was nice enough, with a good bikini beach, good snorkeling, and a good restaurant. Be careful, though, as they have dual menu pricing. Before arrival, communication was terrible. We weren’t sure the booking would even be honored, which was worrying when there are only two accommodations on the island. Once we got there, the hotel was disappointing in every respect and didn’t meet expectations. Be careful if you’re thinking of booking.

The excursions were the best part of our stay. We went snorkeling with the owner at an exceptional spot, where we saw turtles, dozens of fish pods, and many different kinds of fish. We also went to see Hanifaru Bay and the manta rays. There was only one manta and we didn’t have much luck, but it was still a great trip with plenty of other fish to see. The bikini beach was lovely, with sunbeds and a great house reef full of different fish. We were very well looked after and would recommend Baa Sand. Our room had a nice view, was very clean, and had everything we needed, including beach towels. The food was always good, and we were welcomed with fresh flower garlands and coconuts.

Baa Sand made us feel at home ❤️ The people working there were so hospitable. Our room was clean, with a beautiful view from the window, and the terrace with its swimming pool was incredible. I highly recommend it.
