Chak'z 1964 Beach

The reef right in front of the beach was the best part for us. We spent hours snorkeling among the colorful fish and marine life, and saw sting rays, sea turtles, sharks, and thousands of kinds of fish. It was more fascinating than a nature documentary. The beach is lovely, just five steps from the hotel, with plenty of chairs and a beautiful view. There were only two or three other couples at the hotel during our stay, so we had lots of privacy and the beach to ourselves. The staff, from housekeeping and restaurant workers to management, were polite, welcoming, and always smiling. A special thanks to Poky for arranging wonderful excursions to see manta rays and sea turtles. The hotel arranged our boat pickup and domestic flight tickets too. There are only a few restaurants on the island, and after trying them all, we liked the hotel restaurant best and ate there most of the time. We had a wonderful vacation at this small, beautiful hotel, just right for a quiet getaway. Our room looked out over the beach and sea. It was large and comfortable, with a soft bed and a spacious bathroom stocked with enough toiletries for the whole stay. The room was cleaned daily and towels were changed regularly. There was also a kettle for tea or coffee and a small fridge. We’d gladly come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in a special place.

Planning my first trip to the Maldives made choosing a hotel difficult, but Chak'z Beach turned out to be just right. The rooms are spacious, attractive, and clean, and I thought the food was the best on the island, with plenty of dishes to choose from. There’s a clean private beach directly in front of the hotel. They can arrange trips to see manta rays and whale sharks, if you’re lucky, and helped us with everything from booking through departure. Thanks to the staff, especially Husham, for making our trip so good.

This hotel is a decent option on the island, though a few things could be better. The rooms were cleaned daily, and Riyaz was helpful with advice and airport transfers. Husham organized the trips. I’d have liked him to be more open and less insistent about manta trips. I understand those are the most expensive outings, but guests should have more choices. Trips also seemed a little more expensive than at other hotels. Service: 5/5. Food: 4/5. They’re still getting the hang of European-style food, but it was okay. I’d suggest adding an espresso machine and more breakfast choices.

The rooms felt fresh and clean, and the beds were comfortable. We also loved how welcoming everyone was, especially on the fantastic manta tour they took us on. The spot right in front of bikini beach was perfect. I'd absolutely stay here again on my next visit.
