Manta Reserve

The staff were lovely, and communication was smooth from start to finish. They organized transport perfectly, including handling our luggage from the local harbor to the accommodation and arranging our departure trip to a local airport. As a family, we liked being able to stay in two adjoining rooms connected by doors. The chef was fantastic and could cook whatever was available on the island, and everything was clean and well looked after. Manta Reserve is a small, quiet guest house with a relaxed atmosphere and nice touches in the decor. It’s close to the tourist beach but a little secluded, which felt like the right combination, and it’s also near a local forest. There’s a nice local reef for snorkeling, plus trips to see turtles, sand banks, an isolated island, mantas, and more. We had a great stay and would choose Manta Reseve again if we returned to Maalhos.

The local food was a highlight, with fresh dishes that had an Indian touch and showed off the Maldives’ rich food culture. The staff were attentive and made me feel truly welcome. The hotel’s sea views were beautiful and a great backdrop for relaxing. I also enjoyed excursions that gave me a feel for local life, including snorkeling, visiting nearby islands, and watching the sunset from a sand bank.

We loved our stay and are planning to come back. Manta Reserve is new, beautiful, and clean, and it’s very close to a lovely beach with white sand, lots of palm trees, and turquoise water. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed the food. There’s a great snorkeling spot nearby, with colorful corals and fish. We even saw big turtles, mantas, and blue plankton. I can highly recommend it.

We fully enjoyed our stay at Manta Reserve, a small property on a small island where it’s easy to rest and relax. The team helped us from the start to the end of our trip, including giving us tips on getting there, and they got us out on excursions almost every day. We had an incredible time on all of them. The place is fairly new, and it shows. The bedroom was clean and in mint condition. The cook deserves a Michelin star. We highly recommend Manta Reserve.
