Those early sunrise views were pure bliss, and we loved eating at Aurora on the ground floor. The menu there was well put together. We stayed at Araamu Hotel with our toddlers, and the staff were welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help. They were also flexible when we needed to change our booking dates, which made things much easier. Highly recommended!

The rooms had both air conditioning and fans, which we really needed in the heat. The hotel is welcoming, with comfortable rooms and a restaurant, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. WiFi worked well. There’s no lift, so anyone with limited mobility should ask for a ground floor room. Building work was going on nearby, but we didn’t hear any noise. We were half board. The buffet was edible, but often cold or left sitting too long, and the menu could have been more interesting. The regular menu, though, was excellent, especially the fish cooked to order. A pool and some evening cultural entertainment would add a lot. It’s worth comparing tour prices and negotiating a good deal.

For a budget stay in the Maldives, this hotel meets what I’d expect from a decent three star place. The rooms are spacious, the food was tasty with lots of choices, and I’d especially recommend the grilled fish from the menu. The staff were friendly and very service minded. I just wish the hotel would keep its beach cleaner.

The island is small, so the hotel is an easy walk from the bikini beach, harbour, and pretty much everything. Staff were friendly and the service was good. My room was clean and spacious, though rather dark. The bathroom fan made a noise that had me wondering if it might come loose at any moment. I forgot to take a photo of the room.
