The food was genuinely good, and a few staff members, especially the chefs and bartenders, were friendly and professional. Beyond that, our stay was mostly negative. We were on our honeymoon, and the hotel knew that from the booking, but there was no acknowledgment or even basic attention to it. The place felt very unfriendly to guests. Reception staff often didn’t greet us, could be rude, ignored some messages and took a long time to answer questions. Plans confirmed for that same day were suddenly moved around over WhatsApp, with explanations that seemed unreasonable and unprofessional. We’d discussed a room upgrade from the first day, but the hotel didn’t give us the full price in advance. That led to confusing and misleading information. The room also lacked basic toiletries: there was no soap or shampoo, just one shower gel with an unpleasant sour smell. Flashlights and life vests were placed in the room as safety equipment, then turned out to cost extra, which is unacceptable. On the first day there was no free drinking water. We didn’t know it was meant to be complimentary, so we had to take paid water. Better communication could easily have avoided that. Apart from the food and a few genuinely kind staff, this was a bad experience. We’d never return or recommend it, especially for an occasion like a honeymoon.

First impressions so far are good. The staff and service team have both been very helpful, and our beach suite is spacious and beautiful. There are young sharks close to shore and loads of other fish. The food hasn’t been so good up to now.

We had a very nice stay last week, splitting our time between a beach villa and a water villa. The grounds and beaches are kept in great shape, but the staff and service really stood out. Everyone was friendly and served us with a smile. It’s a good spot for snorkeling, swimming with sharks and seeing dolphins. Food was okay, though vegetarian and vegan choices were limited. Bring your own toiletries, as they only provide body gel. The Wi-Fi in the water villas could be stronger. There might be plenty of better resorts, depending on your budget, so do your research before booking.

The island is peaceful and beautiful, and the view from the water villa is magnificent. We enjoyed staying in both the water villa and beach villa. Staff were very good, and the food was high quality, with American, Indian and Italian options. You can go snorkeling, but they don’t provide video footage. Bring your own toothpaste and soap, as only liquid body wash is supplied. The Wi-Fi was a little weak. A very good experience overall.

A beautiful place to experience island life, and the service and vehicle arrangements were really good. Plan events and private dining with reception as soon as you arrive on the island, or a delay could mean missing them. Worth visiting once in a lifetime.
