Kinan Retreat Hotel

I stayed at Kinan Retreat in August 2025 and had a great time. The staff were welcoming and really nice, the rooms were clean, and underwater trips to see sharks and turtles were reasonably priced. I'd definitely return if I get the chance. The rooms near the stairs can be noisy, since you sometimes hear people talking or walking to their rooms. That's why I didn't give five stars. It would also be nice to have more vegetables on the restaurant menu alongside the chicken and rice dishes.

I was having dinner on the beach and watching sharks as I wrote this. The setting is stunning, and the staff were always smiling and willing to help. Nothing seemed to be a problem for them. The rooms are big enough and very clean. Some of the equipment could use refurbishing, but it didn't bother us. We'll definitely come back.

Right on the beach, with a private feel and a great location, Kinan Retreat made for a very enjoyable stay. Everything was clean, neat, and beautiful. The beds and pillows were super comfortable, the service felt truly expert, and the staff were friendly and helpful with all our needs. Dinner was always nicely prepared, with lights and music creating a romantic setting. The food was exceptional. My only suggestion is to add more places to hang wet things. There are no rails or hooks in the rooms or bathrooms, so as scuba divers we had nowhere to dry our towels or swimsuits. Everything else was good, and we'll visit again.

The location was the best on the island, considering where it is, and the hotel was clean overall. We spent six nights there. There are nine rooms in total, and three were occupied during our stay. Room 8, a sea-view room, had a broken bathroom lock and nowhere in the bathroom to put toiletries. The cabinet under the sink wasn't clean. In room 1, also sea view, the toilet ceiling leaked and dripped water. The price felt a bit high for the room quality. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow, and if we needed anything, we had to wait until reception opened at 9:00 pm. It's only open for a limited time, so you have to work around their schedule.
