Fuvahmulah Central Hotel

The reception was often empty during our stay. A couple of times I heard other guests calling for help without anyone answering, and on our first morning we had to wait outside the hotel yard after breakfast because nobody had told us the entry code. Our room also had several problems. It felt very dark without a main light, and both the TV and fridge were broken. When we asked about the fridge, staff began repairing it in the room while we were trying to rest after lunch. We asked to switch rooms, but the option was much smaller, so they eventually brought over a fridge from another room instead. The hotel seems old, and there was a stale furniture smell. The candles and oils made more sense once their scent faded and the room smelled less fresh. In reply to the business: thanks for responding. I appreciate that you tried to deal with some issues, but I remember things differently. The fridge was replaced fairly quickly, though the repair disrupted our rest; a more convenient time or a room of the same standard would have been better. The room's lighting was inadequate and left it uncomfortable, whether or not the fixtures were working. I understand many guests may like the essential oils, but their strong scent seemed to cover an underlying freshness problem that became noticeable again as it wore off. And about the main entrance, I'm describing our experience of being left waiting without knowing the access procedure. I hope this helps improve things for future guests.
