Ayala Ocean View

We spent our honeymoon here and felt welcome throughout. The staff were lovely and friendly, and housekeeping was amazing. Everything in the hotel worked well. Our room was really nice, with a view of Gulhi beach. The food was so good that people staying at other hotels came to eat there. Thank you!

The bartender Nicol was the standout for us. She’s wonderful and upbeat, and somehow always makes your day better. The rest of the team was very helpful too, doing their best to keep guests comfortable. Everyone on the island seemed friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned twice a day, and drinking water was replenished automatically. For the beach, the hotel prepared loungers, umbrellas, and towels. The hotel was clean, and we had no complaints about the food. We’d recommend it and would come back if we get the chance.

Our honeymoon room was decorated as a surprise after we mentioned it was our honeymoon. Such a thoughtful gesture. The hotel’s beach was peaceful, spotless, and so relaxing. Everything about the stay felt perfect. The hotel was very clean and well organized, and the staff were consistently polite, friendly, and helpful. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Gulhi Island.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, but I booked three excursions through them at Ayala, which I believe are run by Ayala Bubbles Dive Center. None of the tours lived up to what was advertised or what other groups seemed to get. On the half-day trip, we’d been told turtles were usually seen, but we saw none. Another group going out that day said they saw two, which was frustrating. The Sharktastic Tour was also underwhelming: we spotted just one shark, far away, while groups from other companies saw sharks up close. On the Sunset Fishing Tour, we were first-time fishers and expected at least some basic guidance, but got none. I wouldn’t recommend booking these tours.
