Thulusdhoo Stay Guest House

We spent a week here and found our room comfortable and quiet. The air conditioner cooled it well without being too noisy, and the staff were very friendly and ready to answer questions. There’s also a restaurant right next door that’s among the island’s best value spots. The east end bikini beach is just a few minutes on foot, while sunset beach at the west end takes about 15-20 minutes to reach. A great base for a stay on Thulusdhoo.

What I’ll remember most is the people. Habib, who I called Habib Bhai, took us fishing, arranged a free BBQ for all the guests, helped book our water sports, and showed us around the island. He handled everything with real care. Muiss was just as welcoming, picking us up at the speedboat terminal and lending us his own snorkelling kit, including masks and the rest of the equipment. The hotel felt like a home on a peaceful local island. Our room and washroom were very clean and well kept. Having a fully working kitchen meant we could cook and eat when we liked, and the washing machine helped keep our clothes fresh. The beach was a short walk away, with a restaurant nearby too. Tropical Stay Thulusdhoo gave us the calm, local experience we were hoping for, with comfortable accommodation and warm hospitality. I’d highly recommend it.

We had to cancel at the last minute because of a medical emergency, so we never stayed at the accommodation. The owner had already been in touch several days before arrival to sort out the speedboat, and communication was easy throughout. They were also flexible when we had to cancel. We’re sorry we missed the stay, but recommend the place based on how kindly we were treated.

Muiss and the staff were great and helped us with whatever we needed. We spent 10 days at Tropical while surfing and exploring, and it was amazing for such a low price. Lucia and I will definitely come back and stay again.
