The receptionist with glasses who checked me in on 21st APR was really courteous and even moved me to a balcony view room, Room 301. I booked two nights and had a restful stay. Great service, and a hotel I’d highly recommend in Hulhumale.

Acacia Hotel across the street was much better and considerably cheaper. Here, the bedroom was clean but very small, and although I had a balcony, it faced the street rather than the beach. There wasn't a trash can in the room, only one in the bathroom. The toilet seat was broken and the bathroom smelled bad. I also asked for a prayer rug, but staff said they didn't have one. That seemed odd in a Muslim majority country.

I wouldn't recommend this place to locals booking a stay. Our room had a very loud fridge, a broken bathroom ceiling and broken TV, and there was no hot water.

The staff were kind, but the takeaway breakfast was awful. The room was extremely noisy, with people chatting in the corridors and loud street sounds coming through. The shower door was broken and wouldn't shut, and the bed linen had holes. I’d only stay here for one night if I had an early flight.
