NAKAI Maayafushi Resort

The food was decent but got monotonous, and I would have liked a few more activities on the beach. The accommodations are small, but well kept. We had a sea view room, and the stay left me feeling fulfilled and relaxed, as the Maldives always does. This was my second trip to the Maldives. The village is charming and tidy, and the property looks appealing and is well organized, though there are more comfortable and elegant places. Cleanliness was excellent, the Maldivian staff were excellent too, and the entertainment wasn’t intrusive or unpleasant.

The sunshine views are great, and the resort has beautiful water villas. The cocktails and mocktails are unlimited throughout your stay and taste very good. Snorkeling lets you see sharks and other beautiful fish. Cleanliness, quality, and the staff’s behavior were good enough for me to give it four stars. Still, it felt like management only wanted to welcome Italian guests, since the owner is Italian. I’m from Nepal and only got to know the resort because Nepali people work there. Without them, it would have been a very boring place for me, simply because I’m not Italian. Wifi is also very expensive and you have to pay for it. The food is good, and it’s a very good resort overall. You should give it a try.

My husband and I had the best time here a few years ago. It’s an excellent resort, and the island is tiny enough that it never felt crowded. There’s very little mobile or internet signal, so gadgets are pretty much useless. That helped us relax and stop getting absorbed in them.

More than twenty years ago, I had the best, unforgettable holiday on this beautiful island. I loved it. It was fantastic and has never been beaten.
