The room was clean and nicely furnished, and the price was reasonable. They also welcomed us with drinks when we arrived.

My room, number 17, was full of bed bugs, so they had to move me in the middle of the night. The next day I saw that they hadn't done anything about the infestation and had simply given the room to a new guest.

The owner, manager, and staff were all kind, friendly, and helpful. When we checked out, they even offered us a ride to the port. I'd happily stay here again. We spent two nights here, then returned for one more, trying both an upstairs and a downstairs room. Both were comfortable and very clean, with hot water, coffee, and tea in the room, and the AC worked great. It's across from the resort and about a 10-minute walk to bikini beach. Being away from the busy noise meant we slept peacefully.

A lovely place to stay, but the Wi-Fi was awful and the exchange rate was horrible. An extra charge of 27 USD cost me 500 MVR. They also asked when we'd check out and were waiting at our door at 10:00, even though booking.com clearly said the latest checkout time was 12:00.

It's a good fit for budget-conscious travellers who want a staffed, home-like guesthouse on Maafushi. There are some small drawbacks, including the distance, occasional AC or plumbing quirks, and variable Wi-Fi, but guests consistently praise the hospitality, cleanliness, food, and welcoming atmosphere.
