Saima Inn

Naafiz, the owner, met us at the harbour and gave us a tour. The guest house is beautiful, with spacious, very clean rooms, a comfortable bed, AC, a fan, an outdoor seating area, and an outdoor shower. We only stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended.

The hotel was clean and cozy, and better than we expected. The beach is great, and the place is peaceful. The food was very good too. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The rooms are very clean and the living area is lovely. I’d highly recommend this place.

The highlight was our turtle trip. We got very lucky and saw three whale sharks too. We swam with them for a long time and got close, without many other people around. The guys on the boat were great and gave us lots of time with the sharks. Thank you! Even so, I won’t return to the island. Of the seven local islands in the Maldives, this was the dirtiest I’ve seen. There was trash everywhere, impossible to ignore, though I generally try to overlook dirt and India is my favorite. I even spoke to the island management about it. Only two guesthouses were open while I was there. Mine felt worn out and dirty, with stains of unknown origin on the sheets, towels, curtains, and walls. I asked to see the other guesthouse right away, but it only had windowless rooms. I chose to stay in Saimaa and was lucky to be the only guest, but I didn’t want to stay there anyway. It’s not near the sea. There’s only one restaurant on the island where you can eat, and both locals and tourists gather there.
