VARU by Atmosphere - All Inclusive with Free Transfers

The all-inclusive package felt well worth it, and getting there was easy, just a 45-minute boat ride from Male Intl airport. We stayed when the resort was close to full, but you wouldn’t really have known. The rooms were beautiful, there was plenty of variety, and all three exclusive restaurants were included. Each one was a wonderful, five-star experience.

We were especially grateful that staff checked on meal requests for our daughter. With a child, being able to eat at the restaurant or have food brought to our villa made things much easier. The room was comfortable, and both the shower room and toilet were very clean. Housekeeping came and the minibar was restocked 2-3 times a day, so everything stayed fresh. Everyone we met was friendly and greeted us with a smile. Their good communication really added to the stay. Most meals were buffet-style, but the food was thoughtfully prepared, tasted great, and never felt repetitive. Beer and cocktails were part of the all-inclusive package too, so we could enjoy them without worrying about extra costs. My whole family is grateful for the hospitality. We had a top-tier stay and would love to return.

The resort was beautifully maintained, with lots of restaurants and activities to choose from. We borrowed snorkeling gear and kayaks at no charge, and enjoyed snorkeling, fishing, and stargazing. Many activities were included, which stood out compared with other resorts we’ve visited. We also loved the spa and the complimentary 45-minute massage. The reason for the trip was a birthday surprise my husband had planned, and the team made the occasion feel wonderful from the start. We were welcomed with local music and a birthday song, then found our water villa decorated with flowers. That evening’s birthday dinner was amazing and beyond what I’d expected. Sobah kept us updated and checked that we were having a good time throughout the stay. The whole team’s warmth, attention, and genuine hospitality made this a birthday I won’t forget. We can’t wait to come back.

We’ve just come back from 10 days at VARU by Atmosphere, our second year in a row in the Maldives. The island is beautiful, and once again the country exceeded our expectations. What really stays with us is the Maldivian hospitality, warm and genuine throughout. A big thank you to Amir, our host, for his professionalism and support, and Muaz at Bay Rouge for the friendly chats, even on rainy days. Chhaya at Lime & Chili was kind and attentive at every meal. Shah gave my wife a lovely handmade bracelet. The Kaagé team served sublime food and shared cultural insights, and Abdho made a lovely handmade bouquet. At NÜ Restaurant, the welcome and dinners were great, and watching sharks beneath the restaurant made for magical evenings. Balal kept our water villa (318) immaculate and added thoughtful personal touches. Thanks too to everyone whose names we didn’t get. Every smile and gesture mattered. We did have some suggestions: clearer smoking rules in common areas, another beach arrangement for bad weather, erosion solutions that look more natural, and a refreshed buffet setup with live cooking stations. We’d happily return to VARU, and we’re also keen to explore other islands in this extraordinary country.
