Chen Beach Inn

Room 101 had a balcony right on the beachfront, which was amazing. The room came with water bottles, and breakfast could be included in the rate. The hotel is on a beachside street with many similar hotels, and you can take a long evening stroll along the beach. I stayed one night and expected little, but was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was, the professional front desk service, and how close it is to the beach. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Hulhumale.

There's plenty around the hotel within walking distance: food places, grocery stores, travel operators, an ATM, currency exchange shops and money changers, coffee shops, and water sports. Being near the airport also makes it convenient to catch a ferry for day trips. The beach is just outside, and you can do water sports there. The island has a very different vibe from the main city. Staff were helpful, humble, and always smiling. The rooms are a bit small, but worth the price, so I have no complaints. It has everything to offer.

We only stayed one night before an early flight, so I couldn't try the breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, with modern fittings and a luxurious bathroom. Since it's a new hotel, it's very well maintained and good value for money. It could have been a 5 star review if airport transfers were complimentary. Each trip cost US$15, so I paid US$30 altogether.

This was our second stay at Chen Beach Inn, and we'll come back for our next diving trip. We come to Hulhumale mainly to dive, and the hotel is right beside the dive center, Ocean Junkies, which is perfect when you're carrying gear in the morning. The room was new, modern, very clean, and everything worked well. The price was reasonable, service was good, and the staff were nice and helpful.
