I had a problem with my Agoda booking. Agoda insisted it was confirmed, but the hotel manager showed me it wasn't appearing on their Agoda account. I arrived around 9PM, and he still let me rest. In the morning, he said he'd sort it out with Agoda himself and let me catch the inter island ferry. That was a good gesture! I'd recommend it if you land in Male in the afternoon or at night and need somewhere to stop before taking the ferry the next day.
