The room at Dream Sunset Beach & Spa cost $75, and I expected a relaxing stay. Instead, it was a big disappointment. It wasn't clean when I checked in, and it felt like housekeeping hadn't properly prepared it. Later that evening I was having a sheesha and talking business with two Maldivian friends. It wasn't late, and we weren't making a disturbance. When we went to the room, staff suddenly started yelling and making a scene for no valid reason. They were rude and unprofessional, and their behavior was unacceptable. For somewhere calling itself a “beach & spa,” the hospitality and service were terrible. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful or respectful stay.

Our room was on the 4th floor, and a few hours after check-in the lift stopped working. We had to use the stairs for two days, four floors each time. The ceiling lights in the room were out, and nobody came to fix them. Room 401 was a very small Standard room with no view, though the bathroom was okay. The hotel isn't directly beach-facing, but it's in a lane just a few meters from the beach. The complimentary breakfast had very few options. We paid $138 for two nights. I'd suggest choosing another hotel with a beach-facing room and prompt service.

Avery small hotel, more like a motel for a quick rest. Bring your own toiletries because they don't provide any. They cook food in-house, but the menu only has 4-5 choices, so it's more like a cafe.

It's a cozy, clean hotel, and the staff and management are really nice. Breakfast was tasty. The massage therapist is very good, so make sure to book a treatment.
