For anyone landing late at Velana International Airport, Relax Beach Inn Maldives on Hulhumale Island is a convenient place to pause before continuing to another destination. The airport is close by, and the island's beach, restaurants, and shops make it easy to spend a little time relaxing and looking around. You can also cross the bridge to Male, the capital, for a short visit if you have spare time. After a long flight, the inn offers a place to rest before setting off on your Maldives trip. Its location also makes nearby dining and exploring easy.

There's a beach right out front, with lots of crabs to see. The food was average, and the staff were helpful.

I had the worst hotel stay I've ever had. There weren't any towels or tissues, the AC in the room wasn't working properly, and there was no room service. Customer treatment and the owner's response were poor too. On top of that, there were bed bugs, and we couldn't sleep all night because of them. I wouldn't choose this hotel even if it were offered at a cheap price.

I stayed here in June 2016. The room was fairly large and okay, and the staff were good. The air conditioner did turn on, but it didn't cool the room properly.

The location is good, but Hulu Maale is a small city where you can walk to anywhere from any corner. The hotel needs more facilities and better service, including more staff, amenities, cleaning, and other basics. A good location by itself can't meet every need.
