Ever Blue Guest House

I wanted somewhere cheap and simple but still comfortable, and Ever Blue Guest House was exactly that. There are only four rooms, with a shared living room, plus a terrace dining area and kitchen I could use. My room had a comfortable bed with the firm mattress I like, a small fridge, TV, AC, fan, hairdryer, spacious bathroom with toilet, towels, a beach towel, drying rack, and daily water. It was cleaned every day, which I didn't need. The breakfast time and food were always up to me. I’m not much of a breakfast person and eat gluten-free, so I usually had eggs and fruit, though pancakes and sausages were offered too. I could cook my own food and make coffee or tea in the kitchen. Ceiling fans throughout, including in the dining area, made a big difference in the heat and humidity. A huge thank you to the owner for helping when the weather got really bad and the public boat was cancelled. He found a private boat to take me to my next island. It was lovely chatting with him each evening and hearing about his family, island life, and more.
