Six Senses Laamu

The team at Six Senses Laamu made our anniversary one we’ll always treasure. Every staff member we met was cheerful, humble, and clearly passionate about their work. The chefs served memorable meals full of creativity, with a focus on wellness and sustainability, and every dish seemed to have its own story. Ms. Vienne was a real gem: warm, patient, caring, and committed from the heart. She coordinated every detail so smoothly and often anticipated what we needed before we asked. We felt like family, and her sincerity and professionalism took the stay well beyond what we expected. Six Senses Laamu is more than a resort to us. It gave us a chance to slow down and reconnect with life. We’re leaving with full hearts, meaningful memories, and deep appreciation for Ms. Vienne and the whole team.

The Junior Marine Biologist programme is a special way to spark visiting kids’ interest in nature. More broadly, this was faultless: beautiful, with exquisitely warm service, and proof that barefoot luxury can go hand in hand with environmental and marine sustainability. In fact, it feels like they belong together. The experience sets a high bar for other Maldivian resorts.

The underwater world was breathtaking, and the diving was excellent. Dive arrangements were smooth and simple, with friendly staff there to help. We also loved the wide choice of water sports, even e-foiling, and there were plenty of other activities for the family. Our villa was spotless and beautifully designed, and the service was warm and attentive. Meals stayed interesting thanks to the several restaurants, where guests rotate between venues. The dishes were varied and creative, and the food was outstanding. A special thank you to our GEM, Afrah, who was always available, and our attentive waiter, Ariba. We had a wonderful family holiday in Laamu and would happily recommend it 👍🏽

We’ll definitely come back. There was plenty to do, and the resort was extremely well managed by Marteyne, who did a marvelous job. The GEMs were great at organizing things and stayed open and adaptable. Special thanks to our GEM, Pablo, for patiently handling our constant activity rescheduling. The Marine Underwater Initiative made the island especially interesting. Several research NGOs are studying different areas, including seagrass, mantas, and turtles. It’s valuable that they also run a junior marine researcher program for youngsters and kids. A researcher joined us on every dive. Great work by Lawrence, Joe, Dr. Aisha, Amlan, and anyone I’ve forgotten to mention. The dive center was great too, and Ann, Erica, and Danny helped make for some great experiences. The chefs served very good food every evening. Many thanks to the Iko chefs for making an unforgettable Tepanyaki possible.
