Aoulad was amazing. He tried to make sure we had a good stay and helped us find similar accommodation when things went wrong. The guesthouse itself is very nice, with big, modern, very clean rooms. Breakfast is good, but it’s at a restaurant five minutes away and service is slow. Twice, tea and coffee came only as we were leaving. The owner made the stay stressful, so I wouldn’t recommend it. Communication was consistently slow and confusing, with replies taking anywhere from 2 to 48 hours. When we reached Malé, we found the owner hadn’t booked the speedboat as agreed on WhatsApp. We only got to the island by luck, since the boat was full. Midway through the stay, the owner told us to move hotels without giving a reason. The island was fully booked, so it caused a lot of stress and cost us a day of our short vacation.

It’s a small hotel that’s kept in very good shape. The person running it was attentive and made sure everything stayed clean. It worked well for our small group.

The island is very clean, and the sea is right nearby and great for snorkeling. We saw plenty of little reef sharks, turtles, and more. After staying in guesthouses around the Maldives, I can honestly say this one is really nice. The rooms are thoughtfully laid out, clean, and mostly very well maintained. The place is well organized, and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful.

The staff at the Island Home were attentive, lovely, and friendly, and we had a great time there. You’re right by the beach and close to shops and restaurants. The beds were comfortable, and the showers had great pressure. Wifi got a bit spotty sometimes, especially in storms, but being in paradise made it easy not to care much about getting online.
